December 16, 2015 Oracle Names Renee James to the Board of Directors
The Oracle Board of Directors today announced that it has unanimously elected Renée James to the company's Board of Directors. The election is effective as of December 16, 2015 and increases the size of the Board to 13 directors. "We are pleased to have Renée join our Board as an independent director," said Larry Ellison, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Technology Officer. "She will bring a unique perspective and tremendous depth of experience and knowledge of the technology industry to our Board." Cloud SAAS and PAAS Revenues Up 34% in U.S. Dollars and Up 39% in Constant Currency Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced fiscal 2016 Q2 results. The strengthening of the U.S. dollar compared to foreign currencies had a significant impact on results in the quarter. Total Revenues were $9.0 billion , down 6% in U.S. dollars and unchanged in constant currency. Cloud plus On-Premise Software Revenues were $7.0 billion , down 4% in U.S. dollars and up 2% in constant currency. Total Cloud Revenues were $649 million , up 26% in U.S. dollars and up 31% in constant currency. Total Revenues Down 5% to $10.7 Billion but Would Have Been Up 3% in Constant Currency Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced fiscal 2015 Q4 results. The results were significantly impacted by the strengthening of the U.S. dollar compared to foreign currencies. Total Q4 Revenues were $10.7 billion , down 5% but would have been up 3% without the strengthening of the U.S. dollar. Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced the pricing of its sale of $2,500,000,000 of 2.500% Notes due 2022 (the "2022 Notes"), $2,500,000,000 of 2.950% Notes due 2025 (the "2025 Notes"), $500,000,000 of 3.250% Notes due 2030 (the "2030 Notes"), $1,250,000,000 of 3.900% Notes due 2035 (the "2035 Notes"), $2,000,000,000 of 4.125% Notes due 2045 (the "2045 Notes") and $1,250,000,000 of 4.375% Notes due 2055 (the "2055 Notes"). Total SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Cloud Revenue Up 29% to $527 Million and Up 33% in Constant Currency Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) today announced that fiscal 2015 Q3 Total Revenues were unchanged at $9.3 billion . The strengthening of the U.S. dollar compared to foreign currencies had a significant impact on results in the quarter. Without the strengthening of the U.S. dollar, Total Revenues would have been up 6% as measured in constant currency. Software and Cloud Revenues were up 1% to $7.2 billion , and up 7% in constant currency. Cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) grew 30% to $372 million , and grew 34% in constant currency.
